JAMMU, MAR 17:
Former State President BJP and Ex Minister Sat Sharma (CA) along with Executive Member JMC & Corporator Ward 37 Sunita Gupta started numerous developmental works at Janipur area of Jammu West Assembly segment. The leader was also accompanied by Mandal President Janipur BJP Raveesh Mengi, local residents and political activists of the area.
The works were started near Ram Leela Ground, Janipur and it includes construction of other adjoining lanes as well in the ward. The works will be done under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rupees 25 lakhs (approx.) and the funds were allotted to the Corporator.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that being the largest Ward in terms of population Jammu West Assembly segment, Ward 37 has been equipped with every possible infrastructure and he lauded the efforts of local Corporator as well who is working on the ground day and night to provide best possible assistance to the inhabitants. Sharma claimed that no other Constituency in Jammu and Kashmir witnessed this much development before and he said that when he started his tenure as MLA from Jammu West, the works everywhere were started from zero and now after six years it can be seen that the Assembly segment where no infra was available before 2014 is now amongst the best Assembly Constituencies. He stated that hundreds of crores were spent on his recommendations by various departments which changed the scenario of development in the Constituency and he also stated that equal development was done in all 26 Wards of Jammu West covering all segments of society.
Sunita Gupta stated that six years ago in Ward 37 there were no roads, no planned system of Water and Electricity and other basic things but with the efforts of Former MLA, Sat Sharma the ward has everything now for which thousands of inhabitants in the Ward are also thankful to him. She also highlighted the development works taken up by her as Corporator and said that the momentum will continue to serve the masses in every way possible.
Raveesh said Former MLA is still in public and said that Jammu West excelled a lot under his leadership who is still on ground and working for the welfare of inhabitants of Jammu West.
The leaders also toured other areas of Ward as well and interacted with the inhabitants.
