The youth plays a great role in nation building. It has the power to help a country develop and move on rd of progress. It is also responsible for bringing social reforms within a country. Youth empowerment can curb the rate of poverty to a large extent. When a young mind is equipped with zeal and creativity it can achieve the desired results. Indian Army organised the Youth Festival (Essay Writing Competition) at Govt Degree College, Mandi at District Poonch (J&K).

A total of 40Girls, 04 Boys and 03 Teachers, budding and talented students participated in the event. Essay writing event symbolized the patriotism of the students. The students also highlighted the immortal soldiers who made supreme sacrifice for the Nation. The students were felicitated for their stupendous efforts. Organising such events will go a long way in developing goodwill amongst local populace and lay the foundation of a patriotic & integrated next generation of India
