The ruling Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday alleged that the Delhi Police have put Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal under house arrest.
The party alleged that the police have not been allowing the CM to move out of his home ever since he visited the farmers’ agitation site at Singhu border yesterday.
The AAP tweeted that no one is being allowed to leave or enter CM Kejriwal’s residence.
The Delhi Police have, however, denied that they have placed CM Kejriwal under house arrest or detained him.
“The CM met farmers at Singhu border yesterday. He had said that we’ll serve them like ‘sevadars’ and support them. After he returned, the Delhi Police barricaded his residence from all sides, putting him in a house-arrest like situation, at the behest of the Home Ministry,” AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj claimed at a press briefing.
