Body of a 17-year-old youth was on Monday found under mysterious circumstances in south Kashmir district of Kulgam.
Official sources said that panic gripped Damhal Hanjipora when the family members of a youth found him dead inside his residence in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday under suspicious circumstances. “The family immediately informed the police,” they said, adding a team was rushed to the area and the body was taken away.
They said the deceased was identified as Rizwan Ahmad Wagay. “Police has registered a case and initiated investigation to ascertain the cause of the death,” they said. 
They said after completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased would be handed over to his relatives for last rites.
