The main branch State Bank of India (SBI) at Residency Road in Srinagar resumed normal business on Wednesday after remaining closed as a precautionary measure on Tuesday after four officials, including Chief Manager (CM), tested positive for COVID-19.
However, other branches of the bank besides Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) in Srinagar and other parts of the valley were functioning normally yesterday also.
A Bank official told UNI that normal business in the bank was suspended on Tuesday after four employees including the CM, had tested positive for coronavirus who are under home quarantine. However, he said medical team yesterday visited the bank where fresh COVID test was conducted on other employees who were in contact with these officials. All the 25 employees tested negative, he said adding today business was resumed as usual after taking all precautionary measures.
