The Army unearthed a militant hideout and recovered arms and ammunition in the woods in the frontier district of Kupwara in north Kashmir, a defence ministry spokesman said on Saturday.
Col Rajesh Kalia said troops conducted a search operation at Kandi Chak Kigam in the woods in Kupwara in the afternoon on Friday.
He said after a long search troops busted a hideout and recovered war like stores, including one AK rifle and two UBGL grenades.
Search operation was continuing in the woods, he said, adding that no one was arrested.
