A senior officer in the Department of Posts, Shailendra Dashora on Wednesday joined as new Chief Postmaster General, Jammu and Kashmir Circle.
An Indian Postal Service Officer of 1989 batch, Mr Dashora, was welcomed by Gaurav Srivastava, Director Postal Services (Headquarters), J&K on his new assignment in the Jammu and Kashmir Circle.
Soon after taking over as Chief PMG J&K Circle, he reviewed the functioning of the Postal Department in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh.
He expressed confidence that the Department of Posts would continue to work as an arm of the Central Government in implementing various government schemes across Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh besides providing the savings and traditional postal services.
