National Conference Senior leader & former MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar today visited Syed Pora Hamchi and interacted with farmers.
Farmers in Fakh area were worried lot as scorching heat and scant rainfall has affected wet rice cultivation in the area.Acute shortage of water due to breach at Malshahibagh canal (irrigation channel) has resulted in crop loss.The farmers of Syed pora Hamchi express their gratitude to former MLA Ganderbal, Div Com Kashmir, DC Srinagar and Chief Engineer Flood & irrigation department for their timely intervention by providing pumps for irrigation purpose.The former MLA interacted with the farmers and village elders and assured them that more pumps will be provided to them and the breach of the malshahibagh canal will be completed during this month. He has also expressed his gratitude to Div Com, DC Srinagar and CE I&FC.
