Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday said he was not surprised after Madhya Pradesh (MP) announced all jobs in government offices exclusively for the people from the state when jobs in J&K and Ladakh are for everyone.
Vice President of the National Conference (NC) Omar was reacting to MP chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s announcement that jobs in the state will be exclusively for the youth from MP only.
Taking to micro blogging site twitter on Tuesday Omar said “ Jobs in J&K and Ladakh for everyone but jobs in MP exclusively for people from MP. No surprise there!”.
After the centre abrogated Article 370 and 35 A and dividing the state into two Union Territories (UTs) on August 5 last year, youths from other parts of the country having domicile certificate can apply for jobs in the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
The Union Government in an order said a domicile is anyone who has resided for a period of 15 years in the UT of J&K or has studied for a period of seven years and appeared in Class 10th /12th examination in an educational institution located in the UT of J&K or who is registered as a migrant by the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (Migrants).
