MAYOR AND HIS TEAM VISITS WARD NO.8, NEW REHARI AREA

Continuing his endeavour to provide better development and civic amenities to the residents of Jammu city, Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation today on 27/07/2020 alongwith Dr. Akshay Sharma Hon’ble Councilor of ward no.8 visited the areas of New Rehari Colony and its adjoining localities and commissioned eight number of open Gym equipments at Rana Rajinder Singh Municipal park situated at New Rehari  Jammu, Dr. Surjeet Singh, Sh Vipan Verma, Sh Raman Sharma, Sh Ajay Singh,  Sh Rajesh Gupta , Sh Naveen Sharma,  Sh Punit Chawla prominent inhabitants of the locality  other field staff of the Jammu Municipal Corporation were also present during the function which was held in a very simple manner. Mayor told that Jammu Municipal Corporation has already taken up the job of commissioning open gyms and installing requisite number of equipments related to these gyms so that general public, locals as well as children can take full benefit of these in an eco-friendly atmosphere and inhale fresh air during performing exercise and other physical activities. Mayor further said that these equipments have been installed at the estimate cost of Rs two lacs & JMC is committed to allot the equal amount in each ward of the city especially for open gym equipments. He also appreciated the efforts of Hon’ble councilor of the ward no.8 as well Residents welfare association of New Rehari Mohalla Jammu who have done excellent job for maintaining the proper sanitation of Rana Rajinder Singh park as well as greenery in and around the area of the park  and his set an example for other citizens of Jammu to follow their doorsteps and appeal to the general public to cooperate with Jammu Municipal Corporation in various development activities in terms of installation of open gyms & allied equipments, installation of fountains in the various rotaries of the city avoid throwing polythenes waste etc in the parks, lanes in their surroundings to keep the area neat, clean and green.
