Private Schools appreciated efforts of Ajay Gupta secretary private schools association

To provide relief under Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Yojna (PMGKY) in the wake of
COVID-19 to the low budget Private schools which have not deposited contribution from November 2019 to
February 2020 a threadbare discussion was held between Ajay Gupta, General Secretary, the J & K Private
Schools Association, Jammu and Prasant K, Regional Provident Fund (PF) Commissioner – I, Employees’
Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India, Jammu.
‘As central government has decided to grant relief / benefits under PMGKY by paying both shares of
Provident Fund (PF) contribution (@ 12% + @ 12%) w.e.f. March 2020 to August 2020 for six months in
the wake of COVID-19.’
In this connection General Secretary of JKPSA demanded a way out from Regional Provident Fund (PF)
Commissioner – I, to give relief under PMGKY to those private schools which are already registered with
EPF Act/Schemes 1961 in the erstwhile state of J & K and have fail to deposit
their contribution in central EPFO w.e.f. November 2019 to February 2020 as per the notification3962
(E) issued by the government of India on October 31, 2019. A demand to waive of the penalty and damages
for such schools which have not deposited contribution w.e.f. November 2019 to February 2020 was also
kept before the competent authority by the authorizes member of JKPSA.
Regional Provident Fund (PF) Commissioner – I, Prasant K gave a patient hearing and said that to avail
benefits for six months i.e. w.e.f. March 20 to August20 under PMGKY the defaulter schools are bound to
pay contribution in central EPFO w.e.f. November 2019 to February 2020 because only UANs holders are
eligible to avail such benefit. He urged to the employers to contact on 9899063122, 9884165577, and
9963832150 for any kind of assistance / clarification without any hesitation in Jammu division to avail
benefit of package launched by the government of India.
President of the Association, Kamal Gupta appealed through virtual conference to all members of pre
registered establishments to immediately contact enforcement officers deployed by the EPFO department
to pay contribution in central EPFO w.e.f. November 2019 to February 2020 to get all benefits announced
by the government of India in the wake of COVID -19.
