JAMMU, july 20:
Government of Jammu & Kashmir which is headed by Lt Governor Honable GC Murmu should provide a clarity upon the auspicious Amaranth Yatra of lord Shiva in which people visit the highest mountains to one there heads in front of the Shivling.Yatra must go on and till the time Shivling is there in the cave people should be allowed to pay homage.
As the Covid19 is spreading in Jammu like a wildfire and the cases in India have crossed 10 lakh.
Mr ASHOK GUPTA said that it was decided to start the yatra on July 21, however, there has been no official announcement from the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board even as only a day has been left for the date. Even online registration is also not being accepted.He further said that the growing crisis of Covid-19 in Jammu and Kashmir is a matter of concern, but the Government should also take care of the sentiments of the devotees and clarify its stand regarding the Amarnath Yatra.
Mr Gupta further stated that Charri Mubarak should visit the Shrine along with Sadhus and Sants who for an entire year wait to bow there heads in front of the Shivling. The SOP should be issued for the yatries so that they have a clarity that what rules and regulations they have to abide by and the testing would be done at Lakhanpur or they have to get the test report with themselves.Yatra should go and the people should be allowed in the small batches along with sadhu, Sants for the Charri Yatra.Covid 19 situation is worsening in Jammu and the people who would be coming from outside should be safeguarded.
At last he said that people should be allowed in very small batches keeping in mind the Covid crisis and most importantly Yatra should be allowed as only very few days are left for the Shivling to melt completely.
