COVID: J&K BJP chief Ravinder Raina tests positive, Jitendra goes into self quarnatine

Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina on Tuesday tested positive for Coronavirus after his return from Bandipora in Kashmir.

A health official here said that Mr Raina was sampled on Monday and he has tested positive.

Mr Raina had been to Bandipora to attend the last rites of BJP leader Sheikh Wazeem Raza, who was shot dead last week by terrorists.

BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav, Union MoS Dr Jitendra Singh, Senior leader Avinash Rai Khanna, also visited to the family on Monday morning at Bandipora.
Mr Raina was also present with the top brass of the party.

However, Dr Singh tweeted that he has gone into self quarantine with immediate effect.
“Have gone into Self-Quarantine with immediate effect from 4 PM today, after receiving the news about #Corona positive test of J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina who had accompanied us from Srinagar to Bandipora on 12th July,” he wrote on the mirco-blogging site.
