Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta today on 08.07.2020 chaired a meeting in the Conference Hall of JMC along with Dy. Mayor, Adv. Purnima Sharma, Commissioner, JMC Ms. Avny Lavasa, Ravinder Mansotra, SE, PWD, Jammu Officers from JMC, and PWD were also remained present in the meeting. Sh. Mohit Mahajan I/c JC(W) JMC, Sh. Harvinder Singh(Xen), Medical College Div, Sh. Parvez Malik (Xen), PWD Div. I , Sh. Rajesh Kumar Bhagat (Xen), PWD Div II, Sh. Rohit Puri (AEE), Div. II also remained present in the meeting.
A threadbare discussion on the redressal of burning issues of general public were discussed and Mayor, JMC issued instructions to the SE, PWD that Xen’s, AEE and JE’s under their control be directed to attend the phone calls of Hon’ble Councillors for public importance matter.
Mayor, JMC also issued instructions to the SE, PWD that deep drains on main road of the city may be re- constructed on priority basis, new plans of the department should be discussed with concerned Councillor of JMC as they are well familiar with the problems of general public of respective wards and copy of plan be forwarded to them also, pits and main holes of the city should be properly filled/renovated to avoid any type of mishappenings during night as well as rainy seasons, a new/ durable projects of the Jammu City be prepared and got implemented and culverts which are broken or partially damaged be immediately constructed to get relief to the general public.
SE, PWD assured the Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation that every possible steps to be taken for redressal of the genuine demands of the general public and necessary instructions be issued to the staff to take the issues of Councillors on priority basis.
