The Jammu based Yatri Niwas for pilgrims finally starts getting the facelift as Jammu and Kashmir Administration has geared up for an annual pilgrimage to the South of Himalayas in Kashmir.
Although the final words on final date for starting the pilgrimage are yet awaited, the government has started making all arrangements to smoothly conduct the yatra following all SOPs in view of COVID19.
Men and machinery are on job at Yatri Niwas and engaged in making all arrangements ahead of the yatra.
The government has already announced that only 500 yatries will be allowed to travel by road from Jammu to Srinagar during yatra period and all those reaching J&K UT will be quaratined at Lakhanpur and will be allowed to proceed only after tested negative of COVID19.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu, who is also the Chairman of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, on Sunday also performed special prayers at Shri Amarnath Cave Shrine.
Chairman Sub Committee, Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam also reviewed the arrangements and preparations here for the yatra.
