The National Highway, connecting Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh with Kashmir valley, was through for traffic movement as there was no impact of Indian and China border clashes in Galwan valley on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh region.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khalil Poswal Ganderbal in a tweet said that ”there are no restrictions on the movement of traffic on the Srinagar-Leh national highway. However, only Covid-19 protocol for Inter – UT movement is essentially required to be adopted.”
A traffic police spokesperson said subject to clear weather and road condition, only vehicles carrying essential commodities shall be allowed to ply on the highway. No passenger vehicle would be allowed to ply on it.
