Former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today while inaugurating the construction of drains and culverts at Last Morh Gandhi Nagar said that Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is committed to deliver development at the doorsteps of the people.
Speaking on the occasion Randhawa said that the drains and culverts in the area were constructed decades ago and was never repaired or renovated again following which the locals were facing many hardships particularly during rainy season. He said that during rains these drains used to get choked and the water often enters the houses of the people causing damage to their property and mental agony.
The issue was brought into the notice of the former MLC who took up the matter with the PWD and after sustained follow up the construction has been started today.
Randhawa expressed his satisfaction and said that BJP is committed to carry forward the developmental agenda of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that all hamlets of Gandhi Nagar would be developed on modern lines with world class infrastructure.
He also directed the executing agency to construct all the culverts on this drain to the convenience of the public. He also assured the people that all other problems of the area would be addressed soon in phased manner.
The locals expressed their gratitude to Ch. Vikram Randhawa and extended full support to the BJP in coming future.
