SDPO Akhnoor Sh Ajay Sharma, kps along with SI Ravi Kumar, Asi Rakesh Masih conducted a round of Akhnoor market and removed all illegal parked vehicles parked in the market area, latter meeting with the shop keepers was held maintaining social distance and briefed to all about their responsibilities and duties in keeping the market clear of illegal parking and encroachments on footpaths. He briefed to all shopkeepers not to allow any parking in front of thier shops and provide free and wide passage to the people who visit markets for merchandise.
He again briefed during ongoing fight against covid 19, everybody has to play a role and understand their responsibilities like specific to shopkeepers, not to allow any entry to any person in shop who is not wearing mask, offer hand sanitizer to the customer, not to allow more than 3 persons in the shop including owner and helper maintaining social distance at all times inside the shops and outside. It was a interactive and positive interaction and everyone volunteered to play their role responsibly. It was decided that all shopkeepers will request commuters to park their vehicles at bus stand which is having no parking traffic at the moment.This will provide wide space in the market where people can walk while maintaining social distance and keep the hospital lane clear for movement of patient, ambulance etc. Latter the checking was done on shops for compulsory wearing of masks both by shop keepers and customers.
