Ganderbal 30 May: National Conference district president and former MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar has greeted people in general and Kashmiri Pandits in particular on the eve of Mela Kheer Bhawani which will be celebrated at Tullamulla Ganderbal tomorrow amid the lockdown to clamp the spread of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
In his message Jabbar said, Mela Kheer Bhawani symbolizes the multi religious and tolerant ethos of J&K which has been an epitome of harmony and brotherhood since ages.
He wished the day to be harbinger of happiness, peace and development in the State.
Ishfaq Jabbar appealed people to strengthen the bond of togetherness between various sections of the society which Jammu & Kashmir has been proud of.
He requested the people to follow all the safety guidelines and advisories put in view of the Global pandemic of the COVID-19 as well as maintain Social Distancing while celebrating the day.
I appeal the pandit brothers to pray for everlasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir and an end to the sufferings caused by the deadly Coronavirus,” he said.
I hope that God will bring the Kashmiri Pandits back sooner so that they live here and so that all Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians live together,” Jabbar further said.
