Ganderbal 23 May:Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Senior Leader and former MLA from Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar on Saturday extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr with a hope that the occasion will be marked with harmony, reconciliation and an end to distressing situation caused by the spread of COVID-19.
Mr Jabbar in his message said the spirit behind the observance of Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the end of month-long fasting, is to “express our thanks to Almighty Allah for giving us the courage to observe fast in the month of Ramadan and rededicate ourselves to the truthfulness, sincerity, self control, patience and human dignity showing complete obedience to Allah.
“Eid also embeds the message of taking care of the needy and making them part of the happiness by extending economic support to them,” he said and expressed the hope that Eid would bring peace, prosperity and well-being to the people all over the world.
Sheikh Ishfaq appealed the people to follow all the safety guidelines and advisories put in view of the Global pandemic of the COVID-19 as well as maintain Social Distancing while celebrating the day.
I appeal the people to pray for everlasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir and an end to the sufferings caused by the deadly Coronavirus,” he observed.
