Pak shells border villages twice in less than a day in Poonch

Pakistan Army on Wednesday again shelled border villages and violated the ceasefire in less than a day along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Defence spokesman here said that after violating ceasefire in Kirni and Degwar sectors, Pakistan troops violated the truce in Kirni and Qasba sectors.

After ceasefire violation in the morning, again at about 1350 hours, Pak initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by Small arms firing and intense shelling with Mortars along LoC in Kirni and Qasba sectors in District Poonch.

Indian Army is retaliating befittingly, he added.

Earlier at around, 0930 hours, Pak initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and shelling with Mortars along LoC in Kirni and Degwar sectors in District Poonch.

On Tuesday also Pakistan shelled forward areas and violated the ceasefire in Balakote sector of Poonch and Sunderbani sector of Rajouri.
