Asking opposition to play a constructive role in these testing times, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member, Raman Suri, today said that different financial packages announced by Union Government were all meant to support MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises), labourers, farmers and students besides other business houses. He added that during fight against Covid-19 pandemic, we must be constructive and keep petty politics for some other day.

“After having announced Rs 20 lakh crore fiscal package for different sectors in the country for their survival including MGNREGS allocation, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Bee Keeping, Herbal Cultivation, Food Grains for migrant workers and MSMEs,Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has come to the rescue of students by announcing online classes and many new channels”, Raman Suri said.

Raman Suri said, Congress and AAP were trying to exploit sentiments of hapless labourers but the Union Government has now made arrangements to ensure that each one reaches his/her home. Instead of asking these people not to trek and stay wherever  they are, as said by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, opposition leaders were criticising government and trying to exploit the situation.

Seized of situation the Union Government announced Rs 20 lakh crore package, which is 10 per cent of the country’s GDP and now, when top 100 universities in the country will be able to start online courses via radio and television for students who don’t have constant access to the internet amid the coronavirus lockdown, education revolution will enable students study well.

The Government has also launched Swayam Prabha DTH channels to accommodate educational programmes for the students in our country. These channels will be of great help to the students who live in rural areas, he said, adding that Study from Home Initiative launched by the Union Government will help students take up new activities and courses amid the covid-19 lockdown. This a big leap which must be appreciated by all.

Twelve new channels will be added to help students take up the online courses and 200 new textbooks, added to e-pathshala courses during the lockdown, to help students get study material.Once the DTH services, like Tata Sky, to air educational content is also roped in, education system will further be strengthened, Raman Suri said.
