Ajay Gupta general secretary private schools appreciates tweet of Principal Secretary Education

In a press release issued by the General Secretary of JKPSA ,Ajay Gupta said that to bring private
schools out of financial deficit due to delay in fee collection by the school management as per the
order circulated by Secretary Education on March 30, 2020 issued order No.100 Edu of 2020 dated
30.03.20 to defer the collection of fee till April 30,2020 in Nationwide lockdown government has come
with amicable solutions to bring the paralyzed life of private schools on the right track. .
Private Schools Association(s) presented number of representations to the government showing status of
their financial losses and also demanded an amicable solution to bring the paralyzed life due to COVID-
19 on the right track as the schools who are solely dependent on this venture have failed to pay the
salaries to their staff till now.
After taking all pros and cons in considerations and to tackle with emerging grave situation emerged
due lockdown for those who are solely dependent on this venture Nazir Ahmad Wani, Additional Secretary
to the Government, School Education Department, Srinagar issued a letter no: Edu/ Adm/ MF/ 2020 dated
11/05/20 to Deputy Commissioners (All) to allow 04 Private school officials to attend their offices.
Organization hailed the visionary initiative of the government which has protected parents and school
authorities’ in this critical juncture as Principal Secretary School Education, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon
tweeted in the wee hours in which he has authorized the private schools to collect the tuition fee. In
his tweet he has mentioned that most of Private schools charge reasonable fees.
Above all to take action against the schools which fleece the kids Dr. Samoon also demanded a list of
such schools from the parents.
District Presidents of all districts submitted request letters to all Deputy Commissioners regarding
opening of the school during ongoing lockdown to facilitate the parents by maintaining social distance.
President of the Association, Kamal Gupta appealed to all the Private schools to charge fee on monthly
basis without any enhancement .He also urged to parents to deposit fee in the schools so that school
authorities’ can pay emoluments to their staff without any delay to run their livelihood smoothly.
