Two persons died and another was injured in a road accident on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway in Ramban district, officials said today.
An official said that a goods vehicle on way to Chanderkoot from Banihal skidded off the road and rolled down into a 400ft gorge at Maroog last night.
He said one of the occupants, identified as Faryad Ahmed s/o Manzoor Ahmed, aged 26, died on the spot, while two others were injured.
The injured, identified as Mansoor Ahmed (25),son of Mashkoor Ahmed and Naseem Ahmad (26), son of Maqsood Ahmed were shifted to district hospital Ramban where Mansoor succumbed.
