In a press release issued here today Bharatiya Janata Party has appealed to the people to strictly abide by the restrictions imposed due to lockdown so that the chain of deadly coronavirus can be broken in our UT by the end of Lockdown 2.0. As the availability of testing kits increases and more tests are carried out, there is a  likelihood of rise in number of cases both in Jammu and Kashmir regions stated Brig Anil Gupta, Spokesperson of the Party.

A lot would depend on our adherence to the advisories and self-discipline till April 20, when the decision to ease out restrictions will be taken depending on the existing hotspots and potential ones. Through strict enforcement of lockdown in the respective localities, stage would be set for consideration and implementation of select additional facilities to mitigate hardships and resume financial and economic activities. Comprehensive guidelines have been issued by the MHA on April 15, stated the press release. It is, however, reiterated that ease of restrictions will only take place in non-red zone areas. The J&K administration has so far designated 90 red zones in the UT and our effort should be to decrease the number by the designated date and not increase advised Brig Gupta. Please adhere strictly to the laid down guidelines for the red zones. In order to give practical shape to PM’s new strategy of “jaanbhijahanbhi” (life and world) we must continue the practice of social distancing, staying indoors and using the face mask advised Brig Gupta.

He also condemned and deplored those who are creating false and fake twitter handles to spread rumours and add to the confusion.

Brig Gupta also informed that Dr.Jitendra Singh, MOS- PMO and MOS (IC) DONER who is also the central in charge of all the districts of the two UTs has established a dedicated helpline in his office manned by Sh.
