Commissioner JMC, Ms .Avny Lavasa, (IAS) made inspection of all the autos of JMC (both outsource & JMC owned) checked their specification with regard to capacity and unloading /loading mechanism fitted in these Autos. On spot measurements of all the autos were taken to calculate their capacity and calibrated with the tendering capacity of outsource autos load carrying capacity of the autos should be 2 cubic meters (2 cum). During Physical inspection Jt. Commissioner (A) Sh. Ashish Kumar Gupta, KAS was also present and checked the Regn. No. of autos running in different wards with the list provided by Health officer, JMC.
The idea behind this exercise is to streamline the functioning of autos running in wards of JMC and Commissioner JMC gave onspots direction to field staff of Health & Transport Section to make optimum use of these autos for door to door collection. The JMC has deployed one auto in each ward as per the house decision and further kept provision of additional 1 No. auto for door to door collection in case the revenue collection is more than 40,000/- per month and 2 No. autos for wards having revenue more than 80,000/- per month.
Further directions were give to supervisory staff of JMC to ensure off loading of autos only at designated secondary collection points and ensure each auto should make 4 trips on daily basis. Among others, CTO, AEE (Mech.), Transport Officers and Sanitation Officer, JMC were also remain present during the inspection and verification of autos.
