Sonia Gandhi calls for Amit Shah’s resignation amid escalating violence in Delhi

 

Interim Congress President Sonia Gandhi addressed a press conference in New Delhi where she held the ruling BJP responsible for the violence in the national capital. Sonia Gandhi’s press conference came amidst Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s call for army deployment in violence-hit Northeast Delhi. Earlier, the death toll in Northeast Delhi violence notched up to 20 on Wednesday. As per reports, Congress Working Committee (CWC) members will hold a protest march to Rashtrapati Bhavan calling for peace and normalcy.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh has blamed the Delhi Police for failing to control the situation in Delhi.

Meanwhile, Home Ministry deployed additional paramilitary forces as India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval along with Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik took a midnight stock of the situation in violence-hit areas in Delhi.
