Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Haseeb Ur Rehman today interacted with local media persons, here at police headquarters.
During the interaction, the participants highlighted the various social issues besides raised the problems being faced by the media men while covering the events and incidents in the field. They stressed on maintaining close coordination between police and media fraternity for reporting the facts.
Meanwhile, the SSP appreciated the role of media in creating awareness about social evils and promoting peace in the society, besides highlighting issues of general public, which need early intervention of the administration.
He further enumerated the priorities of police such as maintaining law and order, make crime free society, launching crusade against the drug abuse and building close relationships with the public to eradicate evils as well as crime from this district.
