Principal Secretary Housing & Urban Development Department (H&UDD), Dheeraj Gupta, today chaired a meeting to review status of multi-level car parking-General Bus-stand and other infrastructural development projects coming across Jammu city.
These projects are aimed at transforming the historic city into a sustainable and economically vibrant urban centre with its area based development in terms of retrofitting, green field development and redevelopment.
It was informed in a meeting that a mega project of multi-level car parking is under way at General Bus Stand, while a few other parking projects have been completed and are functional.
It was also given out that more projects are being taken up to address the problem of parking of vehicles in the city, while government has also proposed new Solid Waste Management and Disaster Management projects.
The Principal Secretary asked to immediately start preliminary work of proposed projects to provide benefits to the common people.
He asked the implementing agencies to work in coordination to speed up the pace of developmental projects under the Smart City project.
Commissioner JMC, Avny Lavasa; VC JDA, Rajiv Ranjan and other officers of H&UDD, JMC and NHIDCL attended the meeting.
