Principal Secretary, Revenue, Dr Pawan Kotwal and Secretary Power Development Department, M Raju today listened to people’s issues during a daylong grievance redressal programme here at PWD Guest House in Gandhi Nagar.
Around 60 deputations from across Jammu and Kashmir met with the administrative secretaries and highlighted the problems being faced by them in day to day life.
The visiting deputation and individuals sought speedy redress of their grievances.
A deputation of private workers, under the banner of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, demanded early disbursement of dues as provided under Gratuity and Workman compensation Act.
They sought strict instructions to the collectors (Recovery Tehsildars) particularly Tehsildar Jammu and Vijaypur for initiating recovery proceeding as per the order passed by the Labour Department.
A deputation of Sanasar Welfare and Development Group (SWDG) demanded funds for strengthening the Niabat infrastructure, staff quarters in Sanasar. The deputation requested the Principal Secretary Revenue to solve the issue on priority basis.
An individual from Arnia, Bishnah complained that his land has been grabbed by an influential person of the area and sought necessary action in this regard.
A number of individuals also met with the Administrative Secretaries and put forth their issues seeking provision for electric connection to borewells, installation of electric poles and transformers, repair of Dharmood Grid Station and Sanasar HT Line Ramban and early disposal of compassionate appointment cases.
Principal Secretary Revenue, Pawan Kotwal said that the government is keen to mitigate people’s issues regarding revenue and asked the people to coordinate with the government to save the state land from encroachers.
Secretary, Power Development Department, M Raju appealed to the people to deposit their Power dues in the stipulated time frame so that uninterrupted power supply is provided to them by the department.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Khour, Anil Singh Thakur and other senior officers of Revenue and Power Development Department were also present in the programme.
