In a Special Drive of Capacity Building Training, Commissioner, Food & Drugs Administration, J&K Vinod Sharma today inaugurated a Two Day Training of Trainers (TOT) programme under Food Safety Training and Certification Jammu.
FSSAI in collaboration with FDA, J&K and Food Industry Capacity and Skill Initiative under Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, (GoI) has organized the training programme to create a pool of Resource Persons to utilize them for delivering the FoSTaC trainings to the Food Business Operators.
The inaugural training session was attended participants from various fields and organizations including Academicians, Industrialists, Students, and Enforcement Officers of FDA, J&K.
Commissioner FDA, in his presiding speech, welcomed the trainees and wished them good luck. He said that, large section of the Food Business Operators in J&K needs such trainings and the department is committed to create a pool of trainers under FoSTaC program so that it will be easy for the department to reach out to the FBOs.
The training was imparted by Dr. Prabodh Halde, National Resource Person FoSTaC, FSSAI and Pritha Tripathi, FoSTaC, FSSAI.
During the training programme the trainees were given basic and advanced understanding of Manufacturing Sector and various food safety aspects including Food Safety Management System, Hazards and Critical Control Point, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Hygiene Practices etc to minimize hazards and improve safety and hygiene.
