With a view to empower and inform the local women of the remote areas in Kishtwar District, Army organised a Seminar to spread awareness on “Women Empowerment” at Malar Region, Kishtwar District.
The emphasis of the lecture was to spread awareness about importance of women and the need to provide opportunities and equal rights to them not only in terms of career growth but also in other fields. The seminar was attended by approximately 60 women.
The attendees were also made aware of the various programmes being run by central government focusing on women empowerment. The women’s society also commended various projects undertaken by Army and providing the right impetus to the women for achieving self sustenance. The locals appreciated Army’s efforts to conduct the lecture and also to create awareness among the locals. They also pledged to extend their whole hearted support for the noble cause.
