BJP rule has created atmosphere of deceit and mistrust among youth of J&K: Bhalla

Anti youth policies of BJP at the Centre and J&K led to disappointment and alienation among youth. BJP has utterly failed to fulfill genuine urges and aspirations of the youth, said former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla while mobilizing public opinion ahainst BJP anti people policies at Nai Basti area of Gandhi Nagar constituency. He said the fast growing alienation among youth is very dangerous trend. He said BJP has utterly failed to provide and create avenues of employment for the unemployed youth. False promises of BJP to provide employment to 2 crore youth per totalling 10 crores in 5 years has badly failed and such politics with youth has pushed them towards wall.

Firing a fresh salvo on BJP, Bhalla said the unprecedented rise in unemployment during BJP rule has created atmosphere of deceit and mistrust and it has housed into the hearts and minds of common youth, resulting in fast growing alienation among the youth. He asked BJP not to make joke of youth as they are invaluable wealthy of the country. Bhalla asked youth to rise to the occasion and give befitting reply to the BJP which does not even spare youth. He appealed youth to come forward and strengthen the hands of Congress it is the only hope for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. Bhalla expressed shock over scrapping the age relaxation clause to the domicile of J&K  which means that age relaxation clause extended to all India services and other competitive examination also stands revoked., Bhalla maintained that youth empowerment has been prime goal of Congress party but under BJP Rule every tall statement vis-a-vis the policies for the youth is proving to be a misleading notion. Congress believes in empowering youth to enable them make choices and emboldened to chase their dreams but in J&K it is more or less out of convenience under BJP Rule. Recent decision by the Central Government to scrap the UPSC age relaxation clause to the Domicile of J&K has turned the local youth to a State of disconcertment, he added.

With increasing unemployment in J&K; such incomprehensive decision will have lots of consequences and repercussions. It will prove to be a disaster and malignant for the candidates preparing for competitive examinations, he added. Bhalla demanded continuity of  age relaxation clause of 5 years to the domicile of J&K as it compensates to the period lost to violence, terrorism and conflict.  Congress had started age relaxation clause to reinstate and rehabilitate the Youth with the mainstream. Bhalla slammed the intention of BJP Govt questioning how students can prepare for these prestigious exams without getting updated on current events in absence of Mobile internet facility in J&K.It is more unfortunate to note that this has been done  when DOPT is headed by Dr. Jitender Singh Member Parliament from Udhampur Doda constituency.  Bhalla further questioned BJP Govt that with the ongoing economic turbulence and no vision document to deal with increasing unemployment, how the now ineligible and jobless youth from J&K will deal with the employment distress. Taking away such a benefit from the disadvantaged population of J&K cannot be justified. The age relaxation clause must be restored in it’s original form, Bhalla added.

More than six years have passed but BJP has failed to fulfill any of the promises, be it the problems faced by the border residents, be it the problems faced by the farmers, be it the problems of refugees and Kashmiri Pandits, this government has done nothing to address those problems,” Bhalla added. The former minister blamed the BJP govt for pushing Jammu and Kashmir into developmental inertia with utility services in disarray as a result of which the people are suffering on every account. “The mis-governance has taken toll on every sector and the people are suffering on account of basic minimum needs,” he said.He said the current insensitive dispensation has exposed people to administrative inertia, as a result of which they were suffering on all fronts. Congress Party has always defeated the autocratic behaviour of those who believe in suppressing or oppressing and victimizing the masses or opponents while in power”, he added.
