Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) started construction works of lane and drain at Wazir Lane area of Ward 41. Sharma was also accompanied by State Secretary BJP & Corporator Sanjay Baru, Mandal President Keshav Chopra, JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) officials, local residents and political activists of the area.
The works will be done under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rupees 3.5 lakhs and the funds were sanctioned from the CDF (Constituency Development Fund) scheme of Former MLA and the funds got delayed due to administrative reasons but the works were taken up as soon as the process got cleared.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that development has reached new heights in Jammu West and the circumstances which were present in the Assembly segment five years back have totally changed and now every ward in Jammu West is developed to its fullest which shows that Constituency is reaching to the mark of a model Constituency. He said the works of the lane and drain which is started today were processed after a deputation led by the Corporator met him during his tenure as MLA and on the demands of locals, he immediately sanctioned the amount from his CDF so that a proper infra could be provided to inhabitants and with the construction of the same, hundreds of people will be benefitted.
Sanja Baru hailed the proactive approach of Former MLA and stated that though J&K legislative Assembly was dissolved more than one year ago but still our Former MLA is directly in touch with masses of Jammu West and during his tenure crores of Rupess were spent in the ward which has changed the overall scenario of development in the whole Constituency.
Keshav stated that there are many more works which have been started in the ward on the recommendations of Former MLA and many other works will also be taken up in coming days so that a Model Ward could be built in coming times.
AEE JMC Vinay Arora, Ashok Wazir, Vinod Wazir, Rakesh Duggal, Deen Dayal Sharma, Pt. Mela Ram, Raman Koushal, Atul Chopra, Rakesh Sharma, Jatinder Khajuria, Hem Raj Gupta, Daleep Mithas, Ashish Kumar, Jagdish Manhas and several others were also present.
