Jammu and Kashmir MeT section on Monday predicted fresh spell of rain and snow in parts of the Union Territory.
“A fresh spell of light to moderate rain and snow most likely during January 28 and 29 at most places of J&K and at few places of Kargil district with main activity on January 28,” said a MeT official.
He said this spell is likely to cause more rain and snow in South Kashmir and Pirpanchal area like Banihal-Ramban, Poonch Rajouri etc.
“Thereafter, from January 30, no significant weather is expected for a week,” he said and added that this may cause temporary disruptions of surface transportation especially on Ramban-Banihal axis.
