Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Anurag Singh Thakur today listened to people’s issues here at Khour, as part of centre government’s public outreach programme.
During the meeting, he interacted with various deputations and civil society members of Khour block, who projected demands and difficulties faced by them. Financial Commissioner, Finance A.K Metha accompanied the union minister during the visit.
A delegation of West Pakistani Refugees also met with the Minister and put forth their demands and problems. They demanded benefits at par with the Kashmiri migrants, besides all civil and political rights.
Meanwhile, the Union Minister highlighted achievements recorded in J&K under various central schemes. He said that the government of India is committed to overall development of Jammu and Kashmir (UT) and the schemes like Pradham Mantrti Jan Dhan Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeeven Jyoti Bima Yojana and several social schemes are being effectively implemented here.
