Indian Army conducted coaching classes for students at Doda. The initiative was aimed at providing assistance and coaching to ensure admission of students belonging to poor and rural background into Sainik Schools.
Remote areas of Doda District lack facilities for education. It is further a hurdle for poor students to attend coaching at private institutes being costly. There is, therefore a need to guide the students as well as provide them with good education for their bright future. Mentoring and preparing students for school entrance examinations will have a far reaching effect in stabilising the region by providing assistance in securing seats in repeated Sainik Schools.
The project has received an overwhelming response from students and their parents. Students expressed their heartfelt gratitude and requested for conduct of similar classes in future.
