Ganderbal police organized a one day orientation programme on Juvenile Justice Act.
The programme was attended by Chief Judicial Magistrate Ganderbal Shri Farooq Ahmad, SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Poswal-JKPS, DySsP, all SHOs of the district, members of Juvenile Justice Boards, Assistant public prosecutor and legal cum probation officers.
SSP Ganderbal inaugurated the programme and in his inaugural speech stressed on the importance of implementing Juvenile Justice Act.
While speaking on the occasion, Chief Judicial Magistrate Ganderbal said that he firmly believes that children need care and protection.
Various other speakers highlighted several other aspects of the Juvenile Justice Act stressing that children in conflict with law are in need of care and protection which we should remember while dealing with juveniles.
Another speaker said that this act opens the scope of adoption and foster care.
Ganderbal police thanked the participants for making it a successful event.
