Indian Army responds to unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan, kills 2 soldiers

 

 

The Indian Army has strongly retaliated after unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan across the Line of Control (LoC) in Rampur and Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

While Pakistan firing across the LoC claimed the life of an Indian Army Subedar (JCO), Indian troops inflicted damage to forward Pakistani positions. Two Pakistani soldiers have also been killed in Dewa sector of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), confirmed Pakistan Army’s media wing.

In a tweet, the spokesperson of Pakistan Armed Forces said two soldiers — Naib Subedar Kandero and Sepoy Ehsan of Pak Army embraced Shahadat — were killed in Dewa sector.

The Indian Army’s response came after a Junior Commissioned Officer was killed after Pakistan violated ceasefire in Rampur sector of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources told news agency PTI.

Details shared by the officials also indicated that Pakistan engaged in unprovoked firing in Hajipeer area of Uri around 11:30 am on Wednesday.

Sources confirmed to the news agency that some of the shells fired by Pakistan landed in civilian areas, resulting in injuries to two civilians.
