Congress that has forged an alliance with the NC & PDP in the Parliamentary Elections has no vision or commitment for J&K, its people and its development said Former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta after starting Lane & drain work in ward 52, Trikuta Nagar.
On a Congress leader’s constant criticism of initiatives taken up by the BJP Government in J&K, Gupta said: “Our projects & Initiatives are with a long-term vision. Congress has zero comprehension of this vision. All they want is political power at any cost.”Gupta said their (opposition parities’) vision is different. “We have started building the Country, they want to destroy. We want to develop India. They want to stall everything.” Opposition parties are determined to destroy everything that the BJP government has taken up in Country, Gupta said.
Speaking after in inaugural function, Gupta said that Government is committed to provide all basic amenities like adequate drinking water, power, education, healthcare facilities and other civic facilities to the people of all the three regions of the State especially the areas where there is either shortage of water supply or where the pipes are damages and the new colonies.
On the occasion Gupta said the directions have already been passed to the concerned for identification of habitations where there is shortage of water and also they were asked to prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) where either the Over Head Tanks or the Bore wells are required and submit the same so that the matter is taken up with the Government for accord of necessary arrangement of funds. Gupta said that it is the responsibility of the concerned officers and engineers to conduct field survey and project plans on priority. Referring to the developmental works under execution in Gandhi Nagar Constituency, Gupta said that the construction of various developmental projects is apace and on completion of these schemes it will change the socio-economic conditions of the people of the area.
