WHITE KNIGHT CORPS COMMEMORATES 48TH VIJAY DIWAS

To mark the 48th year of victory of Indian Army in 1971     Indo-Pak war over Pakistan Army, Vijay Diwas was commemorated at Nagrota Garrison. White Knight Corps Commander, Lt Gen Harsha Gupta, laid wreath at Ashwamedh Shaurya Sthal War Memorial at Nagrota to honour the valiant martyrs of Indian Army. Officers and jawans of White Knight Corps also paid their homage on the occasion.

     In 1971 on this day, 93,000 troops of Pakistan Army surrendered to the might of Indian Army. The blood of our martyrs ensured victory and led to the birth of a new Nation. Vijay Diwas every year, marks the supreme sacrifice and valour of Indian Army, which will be remembered for posterity.     Speaking on the occasion, GOC exhorted the valiant troops of the White Knight Corps to be “Ever Ready” to face any challenges with grit, determination and valour and emerge victorious.
